Traditionally, yoga classes begin or end with Pranayama techniques. Less attention is given to breathing within poses beyond being told when to inhale and exhale. True functional breathing is more than just inhaling and exhaling from an external cue.

In this Workshop You Will:
Delve into the biochemistry and biomechanics of breathing
Measure how functional your own breathing is
Train the respiratory system to be more efficient and imbue the body with more oxygen
Increase adaptability and resilience to stress on a cellular level-Learn about the relationship between breathing, sleep, and mental health and how to improve all three
To improve your functional breathing, this workshop leverages Oxygen Advantage® techniques, including the simulation of high altitude training during yoga asana. Blending OA and Katonah methodologies will illuminate blindspots and give you the tools to measure up and level up both your body and your breath.
