Chair Play: A 5hr Online Training with Lisa Fraipont
Begins Saturday, April 26th + 27th
11:00am-1:30pm
All times EST
Chairs are a wonderful prop, close second to another human body - and the perfect way to explore poses that otherwise might be unfamiliar or forceful. They are a great tool to add to your home practice and prove surprisingly convenient for a travel practice.
During this 5 hrs we will explore the many facets of the chair - how to use all of the nooks and crannies of your yoga chair but also how to practice a basic sequence with a living room chair. We'll play with the anatomy of the chair and observe how by flipping it and turning it around we can, in the same way, change the angles and refine our visions of asana.
What to expect :
practice : we'll practice different sequences with the chair, going from the simple chair to the yoga chair
restorative set ups : using the chair for a more restorative experience
theory : we'll break down different poses and how we can adapt for ourselves and our students
breathwork : with and without the chair
discussion : time for questions, discussions and insights
