We will move through a short asana practice to create space and the environment for the breathe to move better before we dive deep in to the depths of our being. We will combine some simple and powerful reflexology to our practice to access the power of the lungs better.
11am EST (20m) - Restorative bite w Lisa Fraipont
20 minutes of restorative asana and soothing pranayama. Put your breath into your body and travel through the poses with your imagination. We'll hold a few poses and use katonah yoga theory to make them lively, poetic and imaginative.

1pm EST (20m) - Sitting + Forgetting w Kyle Henry
So much of the practice involves construction and filling ourselves, but another part of the practice is to empty, dissolve, and detach. In this class, we'll do a Daoist meditation to assist in letting go.

An embodied, imaginative way to learn and experience the magic square

Informed by principles of Yoga Nidra — or conscious sleep — we use the hypnagogic state to install the Katonah code in the depth of our subconscious and use it as the operating principle of our waking life.
3pm EST (30m) - Sound in the Home: A Vocal Exploration of the Body w Nikki Calonge
Prompts in this Katonah Yoga class are inspired by the vocal work of Roy Hart technique and ways to recognize the body as a home for expression. We will explore the breath and the vibrating body to allow sound as a way to make connections.
4pm EST (60m) - Fall into Winter w Ben Sears
Winter asks you to contract, but with preparation in the Fall, we can play in the snow. Learn a simple breathing practice that utilizes the Winter aspect of breath, the exhaled hold, to upgrade your body’s oxygen-hemoglobin disassociation curve, giving you a more robust system. This practice, like chopping wood before the weather turns, prepares you to skillfully manage external stressors, and boosts immunity. Effort, mediated with skill, becomes grace though practice.
