Explore the practice of restorative yoga with Alice York in this 5 hour training. You’ll learn to set up the conditions to better tune into yourself, redirect into the moment, and create an experience to calm the mind and body. Throughout the training, you’ll be given the tools to organize the body in order to restore it using props, weaving in the breath, and using theory and metaphor to enhance the experience. See what unfolds as you incorporate what you learn into your own self-practice or daily routine or offer out these techniques to your own students as a part of a communal practice. 

What to expect:

  • An dive into the neurological and physiological benefits of a restorative yoga practice

  • Props! Props! Props! Using “official” yoga props and things you have around the house to scaffold and enhance a restorative yoga practice, whether at home or in studio 

  • Reframing Restorative Yoga: restoration and reformation over relaxation

  • Daily guided meditation and restorative yoga 

  • Ideas how to create and sequence your personal practice and lead a group or private class

  • A look into accompanying practices: meditation, breathing, and Yoga Nidra
