Walk Before You Fly with Tiffany DeMartin
Saturday, October 19th
IN PERSON 12pm-2pm EST
In the 1940's, long before Pilates was a daunting word, it was a beautiful movement practice called "Contrology" developed by Joe Pilates as a "complete coordination of body, mind and spirit." The Contrology mat work was - and still is - 34 exercises that Pilates believed, if mastered, would change your body, your mind, and maybe the world (since happy, healthy people do happy, healthy things). But this work is hard. Really hard. Over the years, some of his students developed their own "pre-pilates" work to prime the body for Contrology and beyond.
This workshop is some of that work. Joe Pilates taught his students, his students became teachers and taught their students, some of those students became my teachers.
This work is perfect for beginners, and delicious for more experienced movers who want to dive deeper into their practices (whatever those may be). Join me and we'll break things down into little bites that add up to a beautiful meal.
